About

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area watching Disney and Don Bluth films, captivated by the worlds they built. As a kid I wanted to be an animator because I assumed they were the storytellers. I didn't know what a writer was yet, but I knew I wanted to entertain people.

That instinct carried me through comics, a high school punk band, and eventually film school, where I found a way to bring writing, visuals, music and collaboration together. In Los Angeles I wrote and directed the short film Kaleidoscope, sold through CAA in 2021, and in 2022 I joined the Universal Writers Lab.

I'm drawn to stories about people navigating the unknown, where wonder, danger and emotion collide. I want the reader pulled in, living inside the world rather than watching it. Away from the page, I'm reading Murakami, playing D&D, taking photos, or cooking.
